About Me[edit]

Hello and welcome to my user page. My name is Morgan, but I go by a lot of names so you can call me anything- my friends call me Mordecai or Morty (also Mordy, Mordie, etc.) so you can pick.

I'm currently a student in New Mexico studying philosophy. I live in New Mexico at the moment, but I was first born in Brisbane, Australia. When I was 2 I moved to Fresno, California, and only 2 years later I moved to Richardson, Texas. Growing up around the world has given me unique experiences that I could talk about for hours.
I like music and philosophy, and I joined Wikipedia since I noticed some problems in the Joan of Arc Wikipedia page, and since then I've been making various edits that I come across, but nothing too rigorous.

What I do[edit]

As I said before, I don't do too much edits, but I generally edit as I see things are wrong or need changing. I visit lots of philosophy and music pages for bands that I like. Some musicians I like are American Football, Cap'n Jazz, and Tyler, The Creator. I read a lot as well, my favorite book is Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves. It's a beautiful book I think everyone should read. I love The Lord of the Rings, Batman, and Dune.
Regarding philosophy, I have most experience with Michel Foucault and his practice of genealogy (I wrote my high school capstone paper on this; willing to email it to anyone curious to read it). Postmodern philosophy in general intrigues me the most, but I wouldn't say I could understand it. I like Gilles Deleuze and his co-writer Felix Guattari, Mark Fisher, and Slavoj Zizek. I wouldn't call myself a traditional 'communist' but I'm not, not a communist if that makes any sense at all. I suppose I'm just hesitant to subscribe to a particular belief.
